S U C C E S S that's the way we spell success!

I think Maddy has got this potty thing down. We have had 3 almost completely successful days in a row. The accidents were because we were out and about not sticking close to home like we are supposed to. Today has been completely successful and we even went out to lunch. When we go out she likes to visit the bathroom several times and do nothing *sigh* Today at lunch I actually brought her little potty seat and she really tried to go (instead of asking to get off the seat right away) so I think once she goes in a "foreign" potty it will click. Nap time and night time have been great- no accidents. YAY!!

I like to potty all the time (Not me, Maddy)

I randomly decided today to start the potty training. OK really I was reading Stacy's post and she said they were starting potty training so I decided to do it too. I really am a follower I guess. :o) We are also trying the 3 day potty training regime (http://www.3daypottytraining.com/). So far I would say we are doing fair to middling. Madelyn has never really been aware of her bodily functions, she has been waking up dry in the mornings for a few months but as far as realizing that she is peeing or pooping I don't think she ever really thought about it. So today is a great learning experience for both of us. The best part of today is that I have really focused on Maddy and we have really connected and I realize how quickly she is growing up and how very very smart she is. I have been singing Home on the Range today and she picked it up. So for your listening pleasure you get to listen to us sing (Maddy is cute, I might be tone deaf). I can't believe I am posting this. (Home on the Range is the state song for Kansas so Grandma and Grand dad Wehunt this is for you. Sorry you have to listen to me too.) ;o)

Here is a picture for this weekend, we were playing at the play area at an outdoor mall. I think this might be one of my favorite pictures of her.
I will keep y'all posted on the potty training.

Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Cubs Win!

What a great day! We drove part way to Wrigley and then took a shuttle bus the rest of the way, the whole time on the bus Maddy kept telling us it was like the bus in Disney World. She sang and goofed around the whole ride.

Wrigley Field is a great ball park, it took me a while to get used to not having a Jumbo Tron but it was very cool old school .

Take me out to the ball game.

I guess you shouldn't let a 2 year old decide what to wear to a baseball game. :)

More Pictures after the game today!

Ye Olde Wisconsin

We went up to the Wisconsin/Illinois border on Saturday to a Renaissance Fair. This place was huge and it was really a lot of fun. There were shows and rides and a marketplace. Here is Maddy at the petting zoo. Maddy and Elizabeth after face and arm painting. The elephants -we forgot to go back for a ride. Nate the axe thrower
